Apparently ferals go quite a buff on dots in Cat, the most recent (to date) expansion of World of Warcraft.  Again, PVPing is fun, but I’m moonkin.  I find it amusing that ferals think they own Moonkins now.  It just shows how good a player is by the way he PVP’s in battlegrounds.  Usually, the one that keeps attacking one player for the whole game usually isn#t helping his team and hence is not a good player.  One example is Kramaträden from Stormscale.  I am not sure why he kept following me around..eve when I was very far away from battle moving from tower to tower to make sure things were ok.  Even one time when my team was attacking Krama’s healer and I was going the other direction to help out elsewhere.  It doesn’t quite make sense, but alas, we know that not everyone in PVP (BG’s) really know how to PVP.  I guess I can  blame him/her.

I just hope you actually one day realize how to PVP and actually help your team Kramaträden from Stormscale EU server.

Towers are the best way to defeat your opponent.  The more your team is in control, the better chances of winning.  If you control a minimum of 3 for the whole game, you just won your match, no matter how many flags your opposing side returns!

In this image which I have included below, you will see that my team at that time was going for MT (Mage Tower), but somehow (usually happens), you get stuck in the middle wasting time.  The middle DOES NOT WORK!  It’s ok for a distraction, so the rest of us can run by, but the best way to go about this is to run ahead.  Maybe a little distraction that leads them away from the towers would be nice so the rest can pass.  It’s OK to die!  You sacrifice yourself for the win. It’s not common for boobs to do this and still  not so common for veterans.

The idea is to run past the other team and run straight into or around the tower.  Close enough so you can see the capping bar on the top left of your screen.  This ensures that you are at least trying to cap the enemy’s tower.

Eye of the storm

In PVP, zerging is inevitable and forgetting to guard towers is the norm, but I’m here to win, so instead of going for HK’s, the win is a much better option, though Blizz raised the amount of honor produced with a kill made this even worse.  All you really need is to guard the tower.

There are different schools of thought on whom should be the one to do this task.  Anyone can do this, but following a simple method would greatly reduce the loss ratio that many are experiencing.

1.  The opposing team is way overgeared, so if you are undergeared, it’s best to stay out of the fight and keep towers instead.

2.  If you are really overgeared, stay at tower because you can actually defend it and stay alive long eough for reinforcements!

Example of an unguarded tower.

As you can see in the image, the tower that is circled has been left unguarded and it’s just asking to be overtaken by the other side.  Worst case scneario would be to keep an eye on it while defending another tower, in battle or somewhere in between keeping watch from afar, but by that time, it might be too late.  It saves everyone heartache if you just play smart and have yourself or someone else from your team at the tower.  You won’t even notice that the tower is occupied until it is too late because the other player might be hiding at the back where you can’t see them and the tower is subject to neutrality where no team gets points and by the time you get there, they already have reinforcements, then the whole game gets screwed up by trying to reclaim the tower.  Time used defending when your team should be in offence.  This is when you start loosing flags and points which can spell distaster and probably a loss.

It often frustrates me how zerging has become so popular and the whole concept of winning the actual game has gone out the window.  Once ina  while you join a BG with people that do know what they are doing, but for the most part, it really doesn’t make any sense why people don’t try harder.  I enjoy a good game, even if we lose, but not if we lose by not really playing the game, but just trying to nuke everything that moves.

2 easy scenarios

1.  capture two towers, defend them and go for flag.  This is more risky because you can lose a tower, then you fall behind and you can capture the flag till you are blue int he face.  YOU WILL ALWAYS LOSE WITH ONE TOWER.

2.  Capture 3 towers – If you have 3 towers, you don’t need the flag at all…just run around and stop the attackers from trying to take your tower.  You also have graveyard advantage which means you ress right at the fight.

EotS is not the best BG, but it’s alright.
